The son of Cuban immigrants, and the youngest of 4 siblings, Marco Sanchez was raised in Palm Desert, California. Having studied theater throughout junior high and high school, he entered the UCLA School of Theater, Film, and Television in 1988. In the summer of 1989, he briefly attended the British-American Drama Academy in Oxford, England. In 1991 he co-founded Buffalo Nights Theater Company which consistently produced vibrant theater in Los Angeles for over 15 years, and graduated with a B.A. in theater from UCLA in 1992.
In addition to his recurring appearances on CBS’s top rated Criminal Minds, NCIS and Get Shorty, his television work includes Series Regular roles on Steven Spielberg's SeaQuest DSV, and Walker, Texas Ranger, as well as numerous Guest Star appearances on shows such as Desperate Housewives, Training Day, Lucifer and MacGyver,
His film performances include Showtime's The Last Debate (directed by John Badham), Illusion (written and directed by Michael Goorjian), The Rookie (with Dennis Quaid), Edison (with Kevin Spacey and Morgan Freeman), and the J.J. Abrams directed Super 8 and Star Trek 2: Into Darkness.
In 2006, Marco co-founded Lyceum Films with actor/director and fellow Buffalo Nights member Michael Goorjian, and Muse Media Center founder Noah Veneklasen. Marco’s producing credits with Lyceum include: Players’ Club, The War Prayer (for which he also wrote the adapted screenplay), The Shift, and Tales of Everyday Magic.
Marco currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife, and daughter.
